If you need to keep and serve food hot at your event, then our warming hire will be what you need. Choose from Bain Maries, Chafing Dishes and Hot Cupboards to get your perfect solution.
Whether it’s for a buffet or a kitchen, warming hire is essential for keeping food warm. We have various options available to help you with what you need.
What do I need to know about warming hire?
There are a few solutions available for warming hire, depending on what you need to keep warm and for how long.
If you’ve got a buffet, then our bain maries and chafing dishes are just what you need. Both work on the same principle; using a container with heated water to keep your container of food warm. The only difference is the fuel used to keep the water warm; the bain maries use electricity while chafing dishes use tins of chafing fuel. As a general rule, two chafing fuel burners are needed for each rectangular chafing dish.
What can hot cupboard hire be used for?
Hot cupboard hire is essential for busy kitchens which need extra space to keep food warm. They’re also very useful for one-off events which aren’t normally set up for extended food service.
There are essentially two kinds of hot cupboards for hire available on our website. Standard hot cupboards are great for keeping plates warm ready for service and can come with bain marie and heated gantry options for keeping food hot. Our mobile hot cupboards are particularly useful for spaces which aren’t normally commercial kitchens.
These hot cupboards are typically counter sized and can be used for serving food as well as keeping it warm.
Hot holding cupboards are designed to keep food warm ready for service and are designed to hold either gastronorm containers or plated meals. They can also offer different modes, such as proofing which is great for any kitchen which makes lots of dough-based products.
Holding cabinets are generally upright and can come with glass doors to make it possible to see what is inside without opening the door and affecting the temperature.
Do you need to order chafing fuel?
All of our chafing dishes are hired without chafing fuel. Please order separately if you need it.
- Chafing fuel is available in 2 hour and 6 hour burn times
- Multipacks of fuel are available
- Standard rectangular chafing dishes need two pots of fuel per dish
- Non-standard sizes will have differing requirements. Please check when ordering
Does warming hire need to be cleaned before collection?
There is no need to be concerned about cleaning catering equipment hire after an event or occasion, even if time and energy are going to be factors during clean up and breakdown. We offer a "send it back dirty" service which means you can leave the scrubbing to us.
We know from experience how catering equipment hire can be hard to clean after a hire period of full usage; barbecues and ovens in particular can get very greasy very quickly. Instead of donning the marigolds, for just 25% of the hire price you can leave all the cleaning to us. Select the "send it back dirty" service in the checkout, wipe off any food debris or liquid before collection and we’ll sort the rest.
How does delivery of warming hire work?
All of our electric products are cleaned, checked and PAT tested prior to delivery. At Expo Hire North West we pride ourselves on safety and as such we can provide evidence of inspection and PAT testing prior to delivery. All of our electric products are powered by a standard three pin UK plug, meaning you can simply plug and play. But remember, you'll need to check your power requirements prior to use, to ensure they are not overloaded.
Working out delivery costs is easy with Expo Hire North West. Just click the logo to visit the home page and tap the carriage calculator button.
